GIB GOVT TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR GAMING HOSTS
The Government of Gibraltar, under the Vocational Training Scheme, a project which is partly funded by the European Union, will be providing training for Gaming Hosts. A spokesman for the Ministry for Employment said: “Trainees will be on placement with the Gala Casino for a 26 week training programme, which will offer them the opportunity to gain experience in working within the various gaming facilities offered.
“This training initiative is seen as an exciting opportunity for young people with an interest in developing a career in the Gaming Sector. The scheme aims to train and develop trainees to the professional standards expected of Gaming Hosts throughout the industry.
“Additionally, and for the first time ever, it will also offer trainees the opportunity to acquire multi-skills within all gaming areas of the Casino.
“On successful completion of the scheme, the trainees will be offered employment with Gala Casino, and with it the opportunity to progress further within this sector of employment.”
