RGP hold another successful Summer Awareness Campaign

On the 11th and 12th of July officers from the Royal Gibraltar Police Crime Prevention & Reduction Unit launched their 10th consecutive Summer Safety Awareness campaign under the theme of “Who’s looking after your property?”

Inspector John Goodman and PC Anthony Debono visited Eastern Beach, Catalan Bay, Camp Bay, Little Bay and Western Beach and had the opportunity to closely interact with members of the public, reinforcing the crime prevention message and promoting awareness on security. This campaign was intended to promote awareness on securing property, vehicles and personal possessions e.g. mopeds, mobile phones or credit cards and how the public could assist the police within their respective neighbourhoods.

The campaign was very well received by the public. As in previous years members of the public were invited to participate in answering a questionnaire. Some 315 persons participated in reading the Crime Prevention literature provided and completed the 12-question questionnaire. All those who returned the questionnaire with the correct answers collected a T-shirt or an air mattress.
