Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo and Mrs Picardo flew to London yesterday to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games as guests of the British Foreign Secretary, William Hague. Mr Picardo will also attend a reception at the Guildhall along with Cabinet ministers and other guests.

A Gibraltar government spokesman said: “Whilst in London, the Chief Minister will also have meetings with several individuals who are potential investors in Gibraltar.

During the Chief Minister’s absence from the Rock, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, will act as Chief Minister.”
