RGP present cheque to cancer victim’s family

Eddie Yome, the Commissioner of Police today handed over a cheque for £1074 to Stacey Gabay, daughter of the late Joey Gabay, who passed away this summer after a long battle with cancer.

The money was collected by the officers and staff of the Royal Gibraltar Police, after one of their very own officers, PC Glen Ballantine undertook a sky dive, together with Ms Gabay and 22 other persons at a charity event on September 8, in Seville.

The monies raised will be donated to Cancer Research, particularly in the fight against sarcoma cancer. Mr Ballantine said that although it was a nail biting experience, the drive to undertake the challenge in Joey’s memory was far greater.
