Governor’s Meadow First School holds its annual Spring Eggstravanza and Easter egg hunt

Governor’s Meadow First School and Nursery held its traditional spring ‘Eggstravaganza’ during the last week of the Spring Term raising £290 for Cancer Relief.

The school community gathered for an afternoon of creative arts and delicious treats, according to a Gibraltar Government statement.

Pupils contributed to a spectacular display of homemade decorated eggs. All creative art works were on show in the school hall during the event for all to enjoy.

The school also organised an egg hunt as part of the traditional activities to the build-up for Easter.

The school was overwhelmed and grateful for the tremendous response from parents and carers in baking for the cake sale. There was a vast array of baked treats that made the Spring ‘Eggstravaganza’ such a huge success.

Headteacher Mrs Ferro said: “The school would like to thank parents and carers, pupils and staff for their continuing support and enthusiasm in this fundraising initiative to raise money for Cancer Relief.”
