Goal in the 47th minute. Speaking to GBC last night after the match Casciaro said “I took my chances and I scored.”
“Good for the team and for everybody.”
This is probably the biggest achievement in Gibraltar football, he said, playing against European champions like Celtic, and the moment “is going to be with me for the rest of my life.”
Lincoln did not ease off as they set out looking for a second goal throughout the match to the surprise of Celtic. The local semi-pro club held on as Celtic launched their attacks.
The return match will be played in Celtic Park on Wednesday week.
