Miss Gibraltar contestants sing for charity

Miss Gibraltar 2016 contestants showed off their vocal talents alongside local band Afterhours during the unveiling of a charity single in aid of Calpe House this week.

Organiser and presenter James Neish unveiled the music video that has been in the works for months.

Minister for Health Dr John Cortes gave an address at the packed event held at the Gustavo Bacarisas gallery, and Minister for Culture Steven Linares spoke of more upcoming secret surprises to look out for.

The surprise announcement came after a catwalk show where the contestants for the first time showed their fine-tuned walk to the public, in an hour long event.

The video was penned by Afterhours musician Tim Garcia and each of the nine Miss Gibraltar contestants have a solo part in the song. The charity single will be released next Tuesday, where details on how to purchase the single will then be available.
