More powerlifting records broken by De Roeck s in European event

Leon de Roeck, Gibraltar’s young power lifter, has again smashed a number of world records in his first European Powerlifting Championships. Organised under the guidelines of the World Powerlifting Congress, Leon weighing in at 110.2kg Leon was entered in the T2 - 16-17 years -125kg class. With six world records under his belt he now has equalled and broken several world records in the powerlifting event made up of three disciplines including the overall weight lifted in all three disciplines with a total weight lifted of 660kg. A new world record beating the previous world record total for the class by an impressive 60kg. See sports page 19.
