Youth dart players in ‘Europe Cup’ in Budapest
The Gibraltar Darts Association Youth Academy is heading for Budapest, Hungary to participate in the World Darts Federation, WDF Europe Cup Youth. In the initial Team Group Stage Gibraltar will face Germany, Hungary and Turkey.
They will play in Team, pairs and singles events. Team Gibraltar is made up of Craig Galliano, Ethan Smith, Jerome Duarte and Clayton Otton, being accompanied by Team Managers Alex Nuñez and Kyle Montovio.
Yesterday Sports Minister Steven Linares sent his best wishes and said their participation was a testament to the hard work undertaken by the GDA’ s coaches and officials throughout the year that Gibraltar now has a well prepared team of youngsters to represent us at such a high profile event.
“The team will face large nations like Turkey, Germany and hosts Hungary in the initial group stage with players subsequently proceeding to take part in the individual and pairs categories. I wish them all the best and have no doubt that they will be excellent representatives for Gibraltar,” he said.
