Anabella’s ‘magic hair’ will help heal others

Anabella, a four-year-old girl born with a rare heart defect, believes her hair has magical healing powers and will donate her ‘Rapunzel’ plait to the Little Princess Foundation next week. Alongside her father Antonio Torres they are raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Mr Torres will be running the London Marathon next April and together they have almost raised their £2,200 target. They are hoping to surpass their original target and will continue to accept donations until April.

Anabella will cut off her hair on Valentine’s Day next week, which is also Congenital Heart Defect Day. As an “act of love for others” Anabella will be cutting her hair on the day of love.

Her mother Katherine Gerada said this was because Anabella felt her hair had healing powers just like Rapunzel.

When asked why she was cutting her hair Anabella shyly said it was “to help the sick children.”
