Bank scammer takes thousands from local couple

A scammer who pretended to be bank employee has duped a local couple out of thousands of pounds.
Incident was reported over the weekend when the couple, having received a phone call claiming to be from their bank’s fraud team, disclosed the details of their account.
A spokesman for the Royal Gibraltar Police confirmed several thousands of pounds had been removed from the couples’ bank account and the matter is under investigation.
