Getting fit for Cancer Research

The GIBFIT Fitness Awareness Day in aid of Cancer Research UK was held on Saturday at the Victoria Stadium. The day was organised in conjunction with Cancer Research UK Gibraltar Branch, GIBFIT and the Ministry of Sports and Culture. It proved a fun filled day offering a variety of fitness disciplines delivered by International Fitness Presenters and Local Instructors.  There were also a variety of Health and Fitness related info stalls.

The message by Cancer Research UK Gibraltar Branch has been clear and simple, said Giovi Vinales, from “being physically active and adopting a healthy lifestyle massively helps reduce the risk of some types of cancers.”

Cancer Research UK Gibraltar Branch are grateful to Janine, Steven and the GIBFIT Crew, The Ministry of Sports and Culture and the GSLA as without their support and assistance this event would not have been possible.

“To all the International Fitness presenters and local instructors, Bianca Yeo and Giovanca Azfan, for holding such an awesome classes and last but not least to the Nutrition and Dietetics Department from the GHA, Geraldine Canepa from Stress Management, Jonathan Cruz, Daniel Cornelio, The Muscle Bakery and Urban Dance for supporting this event.”
