Gibraltar played its first ever competitive match on home soil this Saturday evening. As host of UEFA Euro Futsal Group G matches, Gibraltar played against Montenegro.
Montenegro led from the first two minutes and were to end the first half at 5-1. Gibraltar’s goal came from Naoufal El Andaloussi who beat the keeper to the jump to flick the ball over him into the back of the net.
The second half saw Gibraltar play a much tighter game as they gained confidence on the playing field. Montenegro went on to score three more to end 1-8 victors.
Tomorrow Montenegro will play Sweden, with Gibraltar now having to wait until Monday to play Sweden in the final group match.
