Gold for Gibraltar’s young dancers in Dance World Cup

The Gibraltar national team won gold medal in the children’s formation category at the Dance World Cup in Barcelona this weekend.

The winning piece was entitled ‘Dry Earth’ and was choreographed by Lilian and Lauren Montero.

The local dancers saw off competition from 17 other teams, with England and Israel coming second and third in this category.

Gibraltar’s team also did well in the children’s showdance category, where they took the silver medal competing with 28 other teams.

The piece that took second place was called ‘Love’ and also choreographed by Lilian and Lauren Montero.
