OS 35 boom to be removed ahead of bad weather

The boom around the wreck of the OS 35 will be removed on Wednesday ahead of bad weather at the end of the week.
The situation will be constantly monitored and the boom will be replaced as soon as it is operationally safe to do so, the Gibraltar Port Authority said.
“All efforts will be made to mitigate the impact of any oil or debris that may escape the vessel,” it added.
