Plans filed for accessible toilet in Alameda Gardens
An application to build accessible toilets at the Alameda Gardens has been filed with the Town Planner.
The toilet will be located adjacent to the existing telephone box and toilet block.
It will be a self-contained kiosk style building covering a footprint of five meters squared and three meters high.
As the site levels vary some minor ground works will be required to level these.
In a statement filed with the application it said: “The gardens’ aspiration and need to expand on inclusivity is the key driver for wanting to provide this new facility. It will encourage more users to engage in visits, activities and events held at the
gardens.”
Access to the facility will be across the existing open drainage channel a new ‘bridge’ path will be constructed, so that the water below will still flow with ease.
