Poppy Day

Yesterday, Gibraltar launched its annual Poppy Day Appeal. The first coin in the Line of Coins at the Piazza was placed by Commander British Forces Commodore Mike Walliker. Also present yesterday morning at the start of the appeal was the Chairman of the Gibraltar Branch of the Royal British Legion, Momy Levy, members of the Legion and serving personnel. Poppies were sold and worn to commemorate the two World Wars. As always the appeal locally was organised by the Gibraltar Branch of the Royal British Legion. Pic: Johnny Bugeja
