Gibraltarian man treated for three gunshot wounds, police confirm

A Gibraltarian man underwent surgery last night after arriving in St Bernard's hospital with gunshot wounds, according to the Royal Gibraltar Police.

The man's injuries are not life threatening, but he remains in hospital in a critical condition.

"We can confirm he had three gun shot wounds," a spokesman for the RGP told the Chronicle.

"It appears that the incident happened in Spain and we are therefore investigating the matter assisting the Policia Nacional."

SEPARATE KNIFE INCIDENT

In a completely unrelated incident on Saturday night, a locally-employed British national is being treated in hospital for suspected knife wounds.

"He too is in a critical condition, but doesn’t have life threatening injuries," the RGP spokesman said.

"It is also suspected that the incident happened in Spain."
