Spanish police dog handlers visit RGP

A Spanish Policia Local dog unit visited the Royal Gibraltar Police Dog Section last week and presented Commissioner of Police Eddie Yome with a copy of their dog handling book.

Spanish dog handlers, instructors and supervisors from Algeciras, Burgos and Seville attended the event which was hosted locally by the RGP.

This visit was part of the RGPs policy of developing partnerships with regional and international law enforcement stakeholders.

Commissioner Yome received a copy of a book titled ‘Working with Policia Local citizen protection dogs’ written by one of the visitors. This was followed by a tour of the facilities and demonstrations of the work the RGP Dog handlers undergo.

This visit was supported by the South Yorkshire Police Dog School which licence all RGP dogs and handlers annually.
