Today's sports in brief

Rugby - U-Mee Rugby Championship side Europa Stormer have announced Jon Dyer as their new Head Coach.
Football - Lincoln Red Imps have added youngster Kian Ronan, formerly from Manchester 62 as one of their latest signings. The youngster, who plays for the Gibraltar national U21 squad is among one of the many home grown players added to the Lincoln Red Imps side heading for Europa League qualifiers this summer. The club is expected to add to its squad and is understood to be looking to add it its front line.
Beach Volleyball - Beach volleyball will be launching its Beach Volleyball leagues as from Monday. Wednesday was the deadline for the registration of players to its 3x3 mixed league and the 2x2 mens and womens leagues. The mixed league will require teams to play one male and one female throughout the match .

Unlock the Rock Process - Sports is braced for a further release with Gibraltar expected to enter the sixth phase in the Unlock the Rock process. This is expected to be the final stage before the full unlock is arrived at on August 1. At present sports has been released to allow for "defence and attack" activities. Sports such as basketball have been approved to continue with 3x3 and 2x2 activities. It is expected that other sports will see the same activities allowed opening a new phase towards contact sport. The next phase is scheduled to start as from July 15.
Cricket - Gibraltar Cricket will be running a Junior Cricket League throughout the entirety of Summer 2020. Europa Sports Complex will see games played every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning; 9am until 12 midday.

Football - European football clubs expect to lose 4 billion euros ($4.5 billion) in revenue over the next year because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a study released on Tuesday by the European Club Association (ECA).

Football - Former U19 defender Luke Evans has been announced as one of the new signings for Europa Point FC alongside Jorge Avellano, former goalkeeper from Brunos Magpies.
