Two wins for Damex Udea - GABBA

GABBA youth teams participating in Cadiz League competitions as DAMEX UDEA - GABBA recorded two wins and two defeats last weekend.
Leading these results was the Minibasket Girls 45-5 wipeout of their Portuense opponents, led by Noa Aranzana’s 12 points. This was the scoreline after just 22 minutes of the regulation 48 minutes played at this level. The score is stopped when the difference between the teams reaches 40 points. The match then goes the distance but only fouls are recorded.
The u14 Boys, led by Jule Wojniak 21, Jack Cassaglia 13, Ben Lejeune 13, Oliver Lines 10, scored an excellent 61-38 away win over Cadiz.
The u16 Girls engaged in a hard-fought battle against Cadiz in Algeciras before going down by 57-62, with Isabelle Dalmedo, recovered from injury, hitting a game-high 27 and Daniella Martinez adding 14 to the total.
The u16 Boys were no match for a strong UB Jerez Blanco outfit, losing in Algeciras by 47 - 71, with Enrique Navarro 17, Kingsley Sylvester 14 and Marco O’Connor 11 their top scorers.
Three of the five teams are in action this weekend, two of these, the U16 Boys and the U14 Boys, in Arcos de la Frontera on Saturday at 12:00 noon against their counterparts from Arcos Rojo.
The Minibasket Girls are also on the road, travelling to Cadiz on Sunday to play Gades, tip-off 12:20 pm.
