Police officers investigating the trafficking of stolen vehicles arrested 29-year old Moroccan man as he tried to board a ferry to Tangier on Friday.

At the time of his arrest Naser Houda Houda, from Algeciras, was driving a Spanish-registered vehicle which the Royal Gibraltar Police alleges was stolen near Madrid earlier this week.

Mr Houda, who was challenged by a Special Branch officer at North Mole ferry terminal, has been charged with one count of handling stolen goods.

He will appear in court tomorrow morning.
