Rhys Byrne took part in his first long jump competition in the Island Games Orkney on Wednesday evening, making it through into the second stage.
However, due to injury he did not advance any further.
On the track that evening was Finlay Cant in the 800m heat, where he took 7th place in a time of 2:03.9.
