Campo virus cases rise to 11
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Campo rose yesterday from eight to eleven.
Two cases were confirmed in San Roque, the mayor Juan Carlos Ruix-Boix said.
Both individuals were Madrid residents who arrived at their second homes in Sotogrande.
According to official figures from Spain’s Ministry of Health, there are 74 cases in the province of Cádiz and 859 in Andalusia.
Of these 74 cases, three are being cared for in hospitals and 71 are being monitored in their own homes.
The health authorities, Consejería de Salud, in Andalusia said that in the last few hours 176 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed.
Eight patients in Andalusia have died from Covid-19, these include two men aged 71 and 74, and two women, aged 81 and 85, in Málaga; a 90-year old woman, a 50-year old man and two 72-year old men in Granada. In total, the there have been 19 deaths in Andalusia from the virus.
In Spain, there are 13,716 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
The death toll is currently at 598 individuals and 1,081 have recovered from the virus.
