Christmas at the Waterport Terraces Day Centre

Throughout last week, the users of the Care Agency’s Waterport Terraces Day Centre for the elderly have been celebrating Christmas by enjoying a traditional lunch.

The Day Centre staff put together a diverse programme of entertainment, which included the Governor’s Meadow School Choir, Mount Opera and Our Way music group and which the users have thoroughly enjoyed.

The Minister for Social Services,  Samantha Sacramento, said: “I am delighted to have been able to join in the Christmas celebrations at our new Day Centre and see everyone’s enjoyment of the special occasion. I would like to once again thank all the staff, volunteers and Community Care Officers for their commitment to making these events so worthwhile for the users, and on this occasion thank everyone who provided the wonderful music during the course of the week.”
