Comic Con celebrities inspire youngsters

Johnny Bugeja

Students from both comprehensive schools and the College were given presentations and held question and answer sessions last week with some of the celebrity guests of Comic Con, which was held at the weekend.

These guests have made careers out of doing what they loved and the event was a valuable opportunity for pupils interested in the arts to engage first-hand with those who have made a career for themselves within this field.

Forming part of the presentation was Bryan Muir who sculpted Darth Vader, Storm Trooper armour, Death Star Droid, CZ 3 and finishing work on C3PO.

Annette Hannah who debuted by playing Frances/Trella in Game of Thrones, Femi Taylor who played Oola, the danger for Jabba the Hutt in “Return of the Jedi.”

Spencer Wilding played Darth Vader in Star Wars Rogue One and Lee Bradley an illustrator, who has worked on Spider-man, Transformers, Transformers Animated, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to name a few.
