Ecover laundry liquid recall over safety concerns

Belgian cleaning product company Ecover is recalling bottles of its 1.5 litre Ecover Zero Non Bio Laundry Liquid product due to safety concerns.
The recall is specific to two batch codes which contain potassium hydroxide at “hazardous levels” which may cause the bottles to leak.
The Gibraltar Government said: “The Office of Fair Trading is aware that a small number of the affected bottles have been sold locally.”
“Ecover is taking this safety risk very seriously, and is recalling affected bottles from retailers and consumers immediately.”
Any contact with the liquid could cause harm including skin burns or eye damage, and as such, Ecover has advised consumers to not use the product until they can confirm it is not affected.
Consumers who have purchased a product can check whether they have an affected bottle online at www.ecoverukrecall.com.
If a product is confirmed to be affected, then consumers will be able to organise collection of the product and a refund on the same website.
Anyone who is unable to access the website can also contact the company via email at recall@ecover.com, or over the phone at 0044345 130 2230.
Additionally, those who would like further information may contact the Office of Fair Trading either via email, consumer.protection@gibraltar.gov.gi, or via phone on 20071700.
