FAVA AT THE DOUBLE

For the second consecutive year Timothy Fava has been named the Under 19 Elite Academy Basketball League’s (EABL) Player of the Week. Timothy was deemed to be the most outstanding Basketball player in England, for games played during the week commencing the 16^th of November 2015, following his commanding performance in Charnwood College’s emphatic 43 – 95 victory over City College Plymouth. Timothy scored 18 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and had 4 assists and 5 steals. Timothy first received the accolade in November 2014.

Charnwood College’s Head Coach Josh Merrington stated “Tim has had a very good start to the season and his all round play is a big part of our strong start. Tim has stepped up as a leader this season and been very consistent with his performances, scoring in double figures in all of our games so far.”

Charnwood College remain undefeated this season and look well placed to make yet another attempt to win the National Title having fallen just short in the previous two years. On both those occasions they lost to the eventual winners at the semi-final stage.
