Feetham punches for Europe

GSD Leader Daniel Feetham went a few rounds in the boxing ring this week for the ‘Remain’ campaign as he takes the pro-Europe message to clubs and organisations within the community. 

Along with his GSD colleagues Roy Clinton, Trevor Hammond and Lawrence Llamas, Mr Feetham visited the Wellington Front Boxing and Kick Boxing clubs on Monday evening to explain to youngsters there how leaving the EU would impact on them. 

Mr Feetham said it was important to take the message to places such as clubs so that people can better understand what the issues are and how leaving the EU could affect them.

And also, he added, so that younger people can see that politics and in particular this issue – remaining in the EU – is going to be important to them now and in the future.

In this scenario, a closed-border situation would prevent the boxing club’s members from travelling to Spain to train and compete as they currently do with clubs in La Linea.
