Gib records hottest day of the year

Gibraltar recorded its hottest day of the year so far on Sunday , smashing the previous record held since July 12 by 2.4 Celsius.
The Gibraltar Met Office said the maximum temperature was 36.1 degrees at 4.30pm, which is two degrees above the long term average for August.
The Met Office added this temperature was similar to the maximum temperature for August 2023 which was 35.9 degrees.
