Governor visits water reservoirs

Governor Lt General Edward Davis and Mrs Davis yesterday paid an official visit to AquaGib. On arrival they were met at the main offices by AquaGib’s Managing Director, Paul Singleton. This was followed by a visit to AquaGib’s water works installations, where there was a presentation of the company’s operational and engineering functions on display.

Mr Davis was then explained the process of Reverse Osmosis and the facet of the water distribution network.

There was also a display of how ‘butt fusion welding on pipes’ are carried out. The Governor was also shown the laboratory analysis procedures undertaken by the company and which was also one of the key highlights of the tour. The visit ended with a guided walk into the service reservoirs main tunnel.
