Magik in concert next week

After the dust has settled from another National Day weekend the Musicians Association of Gibraltar presents local frontman, Giles Ramirez and his band Magik performing on the Rock at the iconic Sunborn Hotel for the first time on October 14.

Joining Giles on stage will be guitar virtuoso Manolo Arias who is part of Spanish rock folklore having played with bands such as Niagara, Now or Never and Bella Bestia. Bassist Carlos ‘Tibu’ Vasquez, perhaps better known as manager of high profile bands in the early 2000’s, Melon Diesel amongst them. Finally on the drums is Peter Chichon, another local legend who has played with Breed 77 and Taxi.

Over the past year or so Magik have developed signature sound by covering some of the best known rock classics of the 60’s and 70’s whilst staying true to the heart of the songs and delivering a fresh take in their own way.

Supporting this mammoth lineup will be 2021 BandSlam runner up Ace Of Slades and The Uninvited, two local bands with a growing live pedigree that will no doubt warm up the crowd just in time for the headliner. No Limits Entertainment will also be keeping the rock theme alive during intervals.

For the full red carpet, rock experience, The Sunborn was the only venue for the event to take place. Expect rock anthems, soaring solos, sing along choruses and a great ambiente! The Musicians Association of Gibraltar is proud to support local music and bring the best Gibraltarian talent to the Rock to perform in high quality events.
