Morocco Suspends Passenger Ferry to Gibraltar
The Moroccan authorities have suspended passenger ferries between Morocco and Gibraltar with effect from today.
According to Brahim Krikaz from the Gibraltar Morocco Business Exchange 10 people have contacted him to express their concern about being "stranded" in Morocco and sought advice on how they would get home.
Mr Krikaz said of these ten people, four are children with three siblings and one only child being accompanied by their parents.
He also stated he has fielded calls from other locals in Morocco with queries on the situation.
Any Gibraltarians who are stranded in Morocco and require assistance in returning to Gibraltar should immediately contact the Office of the Civil Contingencies Coordinator using the numbers 00350 20049523 and 54010919.
They will need to supply the following information:
• The number of people in your group
• The names of everyone in your group
• Their accommodation details in Morocco
• What help you require
