Police firearms exercise in South District
The Royal Gibraltar Police and GHA Ambulance Service will conduct a training exercise today involving specialist munitions resembling gunfire and explosions.
The exercise, which is part of an ongoing schedule of inter-operability training, will take place between 8am and 4pm.
The personnel will include paramedics and RGP firearms officers, who will be operating within a controlled area on the site of the former KGV hospital.
“The public is advised that specialist munitions resembling gunfire/explosions will be used, and no one should be alarmed by this,” the RGP said in a statement.
There will be no disruption to traffic in the South District and minimal inconvenience to the general public is envisaged.
