Police officers dip in to clear harbour rubbish

Officers from the RGP and GDP teamed up to help clear up the port’s waters over the past few days.
The officers noticed a large amount of rubbish floating in the water just prior to starting their shift, so they decided to do something about it, a spokesman for the RGP said.
Armed with poles and black bags, the officers spent two hours fishing out the rubbish, which included plastic wrappers, bottles and shopping bags.
