RGP charity cycling marathon raises close to £2,000

A team of RGP officers, support staff and relatives raised £1,990 in a cycling marathon for charity. The event was organised by the RGP Charity Committee and was held outside Morrisons’ Supermarket last Saturday. The money raised included £1140.00 in personal donations together with an additional £850 raised through corporate sponsorship.

These monies collected will now be added to a “live” general charity fund, the proceeds of which will be distributed amongst various local charities in December.

A spokesperson for the RGP Charity Committee are grateful to both the general public and corporate entities who donated so generously on the day as well as Morrisons supermarket and those officers, support staff and family members who gave of their free time to participate.
