Two arrested for dangerous driving

Two women were arrested this week on suspicion of dangerous driving following separate road traffic collisions which caused injuries to other drivers.

The arrests come after the RGP’s response team attended two road traffic collisions, one on Rosia Road and the other along Queensway.

One incident resulted in the 18-year old male rider of a locally registered moped being hospitalised after sustaining fractures to both legs.

In the second case, the female pillion of a locally registered moped was hospitalised after sustaining a suspected fracture to one of her legs.

A 26-year old locally resident Spanish woman and a 39-year old Romanian woman were subsequently arrested.

Both drivers are currently on police bail pending the completion of each investigation.
