Badminton receives welcome boost

Badminton has seldom received the types of crowds watching matches in Gibraltar as it did on Sunday.
Six courts with action packed matches as the men’s went on at the far end of the hall. Gibraltar was playing Ynys Mons.
It was a noisy atmosphere which greeted the players Gibraltar with a huge support.
Large screens provided spectators with results at each court. The paperclappers generating a constant buzz as supporters from all teams joined.
Gibraltar was to beat Ynys Mons 5-0. However it faces defeat against Shetland Islands by a narrow 3-2 and Faroe Islands 5-0. The eventual group D leaders.
