All part of the training...even for the Governor

Club Patron Governor Lt Gen Edward Davis made his first informal visit to the Mediterranean Rowing Club recently.

The President, Charles Patron, showed him round the Club's rowing facilities and gave him a brief of rowing in Gibraltar.

The Governor expressed an interest in participating in one of the Med squad's training sessions and last week he went down to the Med where he was met by the President and introduced to the Med's Head Coach, Jonathan Curran, from Northern Ireland, where the Governor was brought up.

He met members of the Med's rowing squad and participated with them in their 45 minute circuit training session together with his ADC Capt. Chris Ghio.

He thoroughly enjoyed the session and promised to come back for more in the future.
