Brexit campaigners plan Gibraltar rally

Brexit campaigners from the UK are planning a rally in Gibraltar next month to urge locals to vote for Britain to leave the European Union.

The Grassroots Out (GO) campaign is finalising plans for a two-day visit to the Rock, including a public event in Casemates.

Matthew Walsh, a Director at Media Intelligence Partners, the company handling media for the campaign, told the Chronicle that Conservative, Labour and UKIP MPs would travel to Gibraltar.

However Kirsten Farage, the wife and personal secretary of UKIP leader Nigel Farage, told this newspaper that Mr Farage is not part of the contingent heading to the Rock.

Mr Walsh said the list of participants was not yet finalised.

However he confirmed that Conservative MP for Wellingborough & Rushden, Peter Bone, and Conservative MP for Romford, Andrew Rosindell are coming.
