Commissioning phase of new power station set to begin

Over the next few days, the commissioning of the generating sets at the new power station will begin.

The Gibraltar Electricity Authority said this next phase is set to take place between the next three to four months.

This follows the commissioning phase of the power station, which started with auxiliaries and balance of plant being commissioned and tested.

A spokesman for the authority said: “The commissioning phase is a critical and exciting period in the life of a new Power Station.”

“We look forward to providing the general public with further updates as the process continues.”
