Four men arrested following bay incident

Four men were arrested yesterday following a chase at sea involving the Royal Gibraltar Police and Customs.

The men were arrested on suspicion of importing a prohibited rigid-hulled inflatable boat, operating a fast launch and obstructing police.

The incident happened when the RGP spotted the men aboard the RHIB in rough seas in British Gibraltar territorial waters.

Police and Customs vessels closed in to intercept the men, who were arrested and brought ashore.

Another suspect RHIB that was also being chased during the same incident managed to speed towards Spain.
