GFCC endorses ‘Stronger in Europe’ campaign

The Gibraltar Finance Centre Council yesterday added its voice to the Stronger In Europe campaign with the message that Gibraltar is stronger, safer and more prosperous in Europe.

The Council, which visited the campaign office in Main Street yesterday to show its support, brings together all of Gibraltar’s major professional associations from the financial services industry.

It urged all Gibraltarians and others eligible to vote to come out en masse on the 23rd June to send a clear and unequivocal message that Gibraltar strongly supports the UK’s continued membership of the EU.

“Today, we come together to join the Stronger In Europe campaign. We stand with the In Campaign, shoulder, in support of our continued membership of the EU and in defence of the fundamental rights and freedoms it has extended to us,” expressed the Council members in a statement yesterday,

The statement signed by both Council Chairman Stephen Reyes and Vice Chairman Peter Montegriffo on behalf of all its members emphasised that financial services today are a vital component of the Gibraltar economy, serving a wide and dynamic international and local clientele.
