Gibraltar representation in the Great North Run

Local professionals Tim Benson and David Frier are participating in the Great North Run in the UK on Sunday 11 September 2016. They are looking to raise as much money as they can for their chosen causes which are Children with Cancer UK and local boy Deklan Rodgers, who is undergoing treatment for leukaemia at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Tim Benson who is also the Sales Director of Chestertons locally, commented that their recent ‘80’s Charity Night’ at Brunos combined with a Virgin Money Just Giving Page have already raised close to £2,000 with further monies pledged. This latest donation of £500 from Chestertons will see the pair surpass £2,500, well on the way to their target of £3,000.

The Great North Run will be shown on BBC1 and will be televised from 10.30 local time with the race starting at 10.40.
