Gibraltar’s youth gives back to the community at Easter
For the fifth consecutive year the Gibraltar Youth Service teamed up with the Royal Gibraltar Police and the Care Agency to give young people the opportunity to positively contribute to the community.
The multi-agency approach saw over 50 young people, supported by their families, involved in preparing and distributing food hampers to the elderly and the vulnerable living alone in both Laguna and Glacis Estates.
“This event demonstrated excellent inter-agency work and a positive community spirit developed by the young people of Gibraltar,” said a statement from the Ministry for Youth.
Other activities on the day included music by the Youth Service DJ Reps, face painting, bouncy castles, arts and crafts and an Easter Egg Hunt.
“A special thank you goes out to all the organisations who generously donated food items to support this worthy event,” the Government statement added.
