Millionaire Mario collects ‘wicked’ lotto win
‘Millionaire Mario’, a German man, travelled to the Rock yesterday to collect his €3million winnings from locally based company Lottoland.
Mario, who did not want his full name to be published, received the cheque yesterday at the Sunborn.
The 50-year-old husband and father to two daughters said it felt “really wicked” to win the prize money.
Mario said he will continue to work as a locksmith but hopes to use the cash to purchase a holiday home in the south of Europe.
Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell presented Mario with the check and said this was the second pay out within the last month.
“We presented a €14million cheque only about three of four weeks ago,” he said. “We are proving the model, that we can actually pay out considerable sums of money.”
