Recruiting for Miss Gibraltar 2016 begins on Monday

Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, is inviting young ladies to sign up to the 2016 Miss Gibraltar Pageant. Recruitment will commence this coming Monday January 18 and entries must be received by noon on Friday February 12.

The Pageant will be held on the June 4 and will be produced by Stage One for the Ministry of Culture. The show this year for the second time in its history returns to the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre.

Candidates must be aged between 17 (as at 3 June 2016) and 25 years old (as at 31December 2016).

The first 10 candidates to sign up for the Pageant will each receive £400.

The winner of the Pageant will represent Gibraltar at the Miss World Pageant, later in the year.

Prizes are: Miss Gibraltar will receive £2,000 cash and £3,500 clothing allowance and participation at Miss World 2016.

The 1st Princess will receive £1,000 cash and a £500 clothing allowance with participation at Miss International 2016. The 2nd Princess will receive £500 cash and £500 clothing allowance and participation at Miss Supranational 2016.
