Unwanted coats appeal from Chestertons

Chestertons is once again asking unwanted coats to be donated for its charity appeal with Calling London and DHL Express in Gibraltar.

“If you don't know what to do with your unwanted coats, jackets, puffas and duffels or just want to make space in your wardrobe, don't throw them away, please donate them to charity appeal instead,” said a statement from the local estate agency.

Calling London distributes coats to London based charities helping the homeless, those in poverty, the elderly, refugees and children.

DHL Express has once again joined forces with Chestertons and will be providing the boxes and the courier delivery service to London.

"As winter draws in, over here in Gibraltar, we are lucky to be able to go home to a nice warm home. It is difficult, sometimes, to know how we can help those less fortunate, so we have made it easy for you,” said Paul Duck, Chestertons' Managing Director.

“All you need to do is bring any unwanted coats to our office and we will make sure they find a new highly appreciative owner.”

“Back in 2019, we collected 746 coats from a kind-hearted Gibraltar community in just three weeks, if we get close to that this time we will be very happy."

Bring along unwanted coats in wearable condition to the Chestertons' office in Ocean Village, between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, or Saturday 10am to 3pm. The appeal has started and will run until Monday November 20.
