Wilson believes his players may ‘shock people‘

Former Gibraltar national coach David Wilson, who now leads Manchester 62 into the 2020/21 season after joining them at the start of the year expressed his optimism at what his young squad might deliver.
Speaking to Manchester 62’s official website, Mr Wilson believed some of his players were going to “shock people.”
“I think quite a few of the players I have are going to shock people this year after the effort they’ve put in throughout pre-season,” he told manchester62fc.com
“They’re not going to overachieve, but I just think some of our younger players, especially the homegrown players, are going to show the potential that they haven’t shown yet.
“Some of the players I’ve got in from overseas are going to shock people with the level of talent they possess.”
Manchester 62 open their season playing Lions who last season surprised by earning themselves a place in the Championship group to finish sixth. Man62 started their preseason with a heavy defeat against Boca Gibraltar. Since then they have drawn their next two friendlies the last a 3-3 draw against Glacis United who kick off their season tonight against Mons Calpe.
