Ynys Mons bids for 2025 Island Games
An Annual General Meeting for IIGA took place last week in which Jenny Wallin Sander was elected as new member in the Executive Committee. The meeting was also informed of the Guernsey2021 and Island Games in Orkney 2023.
Ynys Môn was also confirmed as the preferred bidder for the 2025 International Island Games pending a report from an inspection team which will be send to the Island later this year. After which the IIGA Executive Committee will discuss the findings from the report in their next AGM in 2020 in Guernesy where a final decision will be made on whether to accept the bid.
In the meantime praise for the sports facilities during the Gibraltar 2019 Island Games that took place last week have continued with the facilities described by some competitors as “unrivaled state of the art sports facilities.”
